Meet your coach

coach andrea

I grew up in Hooksett, New Hampshire, the youngest of five sisters, one being my identical twin, in a house full of grit, games, and a whole lot of softball. I got my start at just 8 years old, coached by my oldest sisters, and quickly learned that softball wasn’t just a game—it was part of who I was. By age 10, I was playing club ball with the Bedford Hornets, and ended up switching organizations to The Dragons for something more competitive. I stuck with that same travel team for eight years, competing in national tournaments (placing 3rd out of 32 teams) and traveling all over. Being the youngest softball player in the family, having a daily throwing partner and having older sisters to learn from definitely  sharpened my competitive edge. In high school, I played for the Londonderry Lancers. I pitched all four years and earned the titles of the 2017 Gatorade Player of the Year and the 2017 Pitcher of the Year. That momentum carried me to Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island—#GoBirds—where my college career took off. I was honored as both the Seahawk Student Athlete of the Year and CCC Pitcher of the Year during my sophomore season. I had been giving lessons since high school and continued to give them throughout college. I've always loved coaching and creatively problem solving. I graduated in 2021 with my Bachelors of Psychology Degree!

Quitting wasn't the end

Walking away from college softball my senior year was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I didn’t leave because I stopped loving the game—I left because the environment made it impossible to thrive. And in that heartbreak, I found my conviction.

With a psychology degree and a heart still tied to the circle, I’ve rebuilt what softball means to me. Today, I coach pitchers with the care, precision, and respect I wish I had received. I don’t just teach mechanics and strikes—I coach confidence. I build trust. I hold space for athletes to grow, to fail forward, to feel safe in their bodies and bold in their game. To find their conviction. Softball is, and will always be more than just a game.

Conviction isn’t just a word—it’s the story I carry, the fire I coach with, and the standard I hold for every pitcher who steps on the mound.

I’m a former college pitcher, two-year captain, and fierce competitor who once believed that keeping my head down and grinding through the pain—physical, emotional, mental—was just part of the game. I played for the love of it. For the rhythm of the seams in my hand. For the chance to compete. For the quiet belief that maybe, one day, my effort would be enough.

But the truth is, the system failed me. I know what it’s like to feel unseen by a coach, to be broken down by a toxic culture that prioritized performance over care. I’ve lived through the mental and emotional toll of injury, manipulation, grooming and silence. And I know what it means to love a sport so much, you stay long past the point it’s hurting you.

Conviction Fastpitch isn’t about perfect players. It’s about resilient ones. It’s about becoming—through every pitch, every rep, every hard day. I coach because I believe in the power of the player beyond the stat sheet. Because I’ve been the kid who was overlooked. And because I know what happens when you train with intention and are treated with integrity.
